We are pleased to announce that the PA EU, represented by our member Nenad Ilic (PwC), has been selected by the European Commission to participate in the new CESOP Expert Group.
The Expert Group's inaugural meeting is scheduled for 12 March, followed by a physical meeting in Brussels on 11 and 12 April. The primary objective is to identify practical challenges encountered by PSPs regarding CESOP and to propose effective solutions. These proposals will shape updated CESOP guidance and/or FAQs and may contribute to potential legislative changes in the future.
As valued members of PA EU, your input is crucial. Please promptly escalate any CESOP-related issues you encounter by email to Nenad (nenad.ilic@pwc.lu), copying Danai (danai.michailidou@thepaymentsassociation.eu) and (thibault.de.barsy@thepaymentsassociation.eu). Your feedback by Monday 11 March will be highly appreciated.
This Regulatory Working Group will be dedicated to discussing and aligning our messaging.

https://www.pwc.lu/Nenad is an accomplished tax specialist with strong business acumen and 16+ years experience acquired through multiple assignments in corporate taxation, transactional tax planning and operational taxes in the banking and asset management industries with cross-regional experience covering markets in Luxembourg, Belgium, wider Europe and Asia-Pacific.
He is chairing the Luxembourg Bankers Association (ABBL) working group on tax reporting standards which focuses on topics such as FATCA, CRS and QI. He is also a member of the ABBL’s Fiscal Committee and is regularly invited to speak on tax topics of interest to the industry. He is heavily involved in CESOP reporting and is one of the leading voices on this topic in Europe.
